Tomorrow night, the World Series begins. The series will start in Texas and feature Cliff Lee vs. Tim Lincecum toeing the rubber.
Lee is an obvious choice for a Game 1 starter, but I'm not so sure about Lincecum, especially against Lee. Lee in my mind is better and more consistent than Lincecum and will probably pitch late into the game. Although "The Freak" is their no. 1 guy, I'd think outside the box and go with Sanchez for Game 1, and go with the sure thing in Timmy and Cain in games 2 and 3.
It all comes down to Lincecum most likely not being able to outduel Lee, so why waste him?
