LIVE BLOG: Reds vs Phillies Game 1 of the NLDS

Game over

I didn't want to watch the last inning and a half of the game (I was also in the car so I couldn't) but from what I gather, it was indeed a no hitter. I really wish I could say it was only the first game but it's still demoralizing. And embarrassing.

Top 8
Still no hits.
CIN 0, PHI 4

Bottom 7
Good inning by Ondrusek and Bill Bray.
CIN 0, PHI 4

Top 7
Phillies fans on their feet for every pitch. All I want is a hit now.
CIN 0, PHI 4

Bottom 6
Bad error by Ondrusek, but no consequences. The Reds need baserunners, hits and runs now.
CIN 0, PHI 4

Top 6
He can't pitch a no hitter, he just can't.
CIN 0, PHI 4

Bottom 5
More good stuff from Wood, 3 up, 3 down.
CIN 0, PHI 4

Top 5
Halladay walked Bruce. Still no hits, but it had to start somewhere.
CIN 0, PHI 4

Bottom 4
Wood's getting control of the Phillies lineup now. With the score like it is, the Reds need hits.
CIN 0, PHI 4

Top 4
Two K's and a groundout. Same story. Reds need to get on base.
CIN 0, PHI 4

Bottom 3
Two strikeouts for Wood, a double and a flyout. Not bad.
CIN 0, PHI 4

Top 3
Another 1, 2, 3. Hallady's got his stuff.
CIN 0, PHI 4

Bottom 2
Two two-out walks, a Halladay RBI and some bad luck gives the Phillies some more runs. Travis Wood came in and took 4 pitches to get out of it.
CIN 0, PHI 4

Top 2
Another three up, three down for the Reds. They're falling behind in the count early.
CIN 0, PHI 1

Bottom 1
Victorino doubles, steals, sac fly gets him home.
CIN 0, PHI 1

Top 1
1, 2, 3 inning ends with Chase Utley staring at the ball in his hand for a few seconds before tossing it to first. What a cool guy.
CIN 0, PHI 0
