The Reds re-signed C Ramon Hernandez yesterday. The one year deal is worth $3 million for the 34-year-old catcher.
I really like that they re-signed Hernandez. He may not be as good as Hanigan, but it seems he's always getting hits (and extra base hits) when he needs to. What I didn't know was that he started a team-high 85 games last season.
The trio behind the plate (Hernandez, Hanigan and Corky Miller) led the National League last year with 168 hits and a .296 batting average. Very impressive.
