Outfielder Laynce Nix decided to opt for free agency last week. I like Nix a lot, he's a good hitter and has decent range in the field. He's a big puppy too and can really cream the ball when he gets a hold of it. His only downfall is that he seems to always be swinging for the fences.
All in all, he could go somewhere else, but I think the Reds are just trying to free up some money to give Arroyo what he wants. I'd rather have Arroyo.
